Report #002 | 01 october 2020

EXTERIOR

  • Hull Topsides Painting: Port and Stbd hull topsides were been coated with the Travier Beige metallic and two clear coats. On inspection, multiple discrepancies were found in the fairing and ASM advised Sanlorenzo that these points had to be made good and a complete new coating system applied.  Sanlorenzo disagreed with this and suggested that they could make repairs, rather than apply a complete coat. At this stage, Owners were advised to engage the services of a painting consultant to act on their behalf against Sanlorenzo. The Owners consultant inspected the hull on Thursday Sept 24th and subsequently advised Sanlorenzo of the same.  Sanlorenzo have ignored this advice and have continued over the weekend, to adopt their own method of repair.  ASM have requested a detailed plan of how SL intend to deliver the yacht with a new paint system and strongly advised them that a repaired system will not be accepted under any circumstances.
