Introduction

The main achievements during August have been teak laying and ER exhaust mufflers in position.

• Advanced stage of Bolera undercoating on the sun deck, upper deck, and foredeck.

• 12mm Teak has been laid on the sun deck. Excellent quality.

• Handrails are in position on upper decks, and they will be eventually finished and polished to Yacht Standard.

• The forward rescue tender crane is presently being mounted and calibrated in the forward garage.

• The engine room exhaust muffler framework and installation.

• Wheelhouse steel reinforced pilot seat backing plate in position.

• Wheelhouse emergency and Navigation switchboards installed.

• Deckhead framework has been resin-coated in the Galley and all shower areas.

• Installation of hot water boilers, water-makers, and FW water pumps in the technical tunnel.

• Joinery throughout ongoing.


MAST

The mast will have its own dedicated tent for its construction and be placed onboard towards the end of the build.

 

SUNDECK

 The teak has been laid and the undercoating is complete.

FOREDECK / BOW

The Jacuzzi and its surrounding area are now under-coated and spy work is evident.


RESCUE TENDER GARAGE

The Crane installation is in progress and the fire hydrant recess is painted.


WHEELHOUSE

Flooring complete with pilot chair base in position and airhorn compressor installed.

Emergency and Navigation equipment switchboards are now installed and protected.


UPPER DECK SIDE CORRIDORS

As viewed from the forward spot-welded anti-vibration hangers are in place.

 

UPPER DECK 

The filling is 100% complete as well as the application of the bolero under-coat.

The plumbing, insulation, and wiring are complete in the pantry area as well as the initial construction of the crew stairwell (image on right).


GALLEY

The deckhead framework is now in place. Marine ply coated in resin – very good practice.


OWNER’S CABIN

The joinery on side panels which are in place to hide pipework, plumbing, etc., are in preparation for eventual finished woodwork.

The bathroom / WC area has full epoxy resin coating to prolong the lifetime of woodwork in a wet area.


 LOWER DECKS GUEST AREA

The joinery and framework are in progress in this area.


ENGINE ROOM

The muffler framework below and right of the actual mufflers is in matt black which will eventually be lagged. Lagging choices to be made by Arrow in the following weeks.
