Progress Report #13 | June 2023

Introduction

During our regular weekly surveys aboard productivity is progressing steadily. The month of June was most productive with advancement in crucial areas including but not limited to the items listed below.

Successful installation of the central chiller control unit.

The stabilizer switchboard and installed the ATU.

Entire vertical partition work in crew mess, crew cabins and Captain cabin.

 There has been significant progress in the beach club the beach area, including filling/fairing as well as the fitting and calibration of the shell doors.

 Furthermore, the Delta UCHB paint to the rollbar and Sun-Deck is now complete.

Vertical  Partition work in guest areas 100%.

The SL team are working well specifically in the electrical and woodwork departments.


HULL / TRANSOM

At the beginning of June, the cut outs and welding works to make inserts for shell door hinges were completed.

SUN-DECK

After many weeks of filling and epi-filler works, we see the shape forming after the initial  application of “Boero Delta UCHB coating”


UPPER  DECK /SUN DECK

Stairwell frame in place between sundeck and Upper-deck as viewed from both decks.


UPPER DECK  

Portuguese Bridge style windows and surrounding area. Epi filler is this area is complete and being prepared for fairing/next stage.


MAIN DECK FORWARD GARAGE 

Crane motor and its mounting frame below.


WHEELHOUSE

Audio Visual  wiring in progess, as well as the introduction of equipment such as air chiller units and manifolds in the  under-floor area.


OWNER’S CABIN

As partition works increase, the build team take great care in touching up the sound insulation in the Owner’s cabin. This type of attention to detail is essential.

Vertical partitions, insulation and floor template process is all going well in Owners Cabin and Bathroom.


GALLEY

Below: emergency fire door mechanism in place.

Right :Essential Zanussi fridges and equipment are now being installed onboard.


CREW AREA/MESS

This area is in preparation mode for Partition works.


 MAIN DECK LOBBY/STAIRWELL TO LOWER DECK

Stairwell now in final position and the vertical partitioning and joinery begins in earnest.


 LOWER DECKS GUEST AREA

Image below is a good example of painted grey partitions in guest cabins compared to the Epoxy resin coats used in guest bathrooms.

ENGINE ROOM

Advancement in the Di-bond material wall covering, it is durable, light-weight and clean whilst withstanding high temperatures.


BEACH CLUB

The fitting out of essential gear in the beach-club continues with both shell doors being calibrated as well as the intro of the electro valves for the travel crane and essential framework throughout.


 LOWER DECK BILGE/TECHNICAL TUNNEL

Below: The technical tunnel running between the Engine room bilge to Crew Mess Bilge has been surveyed this month.
