Progress Report #06 | November 2022


Progress report on metal works on San Lorenzo 44m, project 157.

Location: Massa, Italy

Report was written by Harry Noonan, Project manager at Arrow Monaco on the 6th December 2022.


Introduction:

She is out of the shed and ready to move!

The vessel is now taking shape as the various block components have been welded together in preparation for the transfer to Marina Di Carrara which will take place on Monday 12th at 2200 hrs.

The Vessel will be transported through the streets late at night and then put in the water in preparation to be towed by Tug to the Shipyard at San Lorenzo .

Please note Arrow project manager is not permitted onboard for safety reasons during this process. It is for this reason all images on this report relate to Exterior of the Hull taken from Yard floor.

Arrow project manager Harry V Noonan will be present for the night transfer to Carrara on the 12th December.

The red paint used throughout is Boero Delta 300 which is aluminium primer for all underwater areas.

Outline of forward draft lines on bow and stern areas.

This marks will eventually be clearly visible on highly finished polished  Inox Stainless steel  plates.

 

  • SWIMMING PLATFORM AND AFT END OF VESSEL

The void areas on the underside of the swimming platform are in fact a clever design to reduce pressure on this area from the seawater . See image on the right


  • CONCLUSION OF PICTURE REPORT

The Vessel is now at a very interesting period in its

journey to becoming a Boat.

Once the move to the Shipyard at San Lorenzo is

complete and the vessel hauled into a shed , there

will be huge strides in production achieved.

It goes from being a cold aluminum Block to the

beginnings of a superyacht through much outfitting,

effort and hard work
