INTRODUCTION

Arrow representatives, Technical Manager Matthew Wood, and Project Manager Harry Noonan were present at the Mangusta facility in Viareggio for the purpose of surveying  the Vessel.

This report leans heavily towards joinery and woodwork as that is a prime objective at this stage of the build. In fact, the joinery practiced at Mangusta is generally of an excellent standard as they have in-house carpenters who have a history of great finishing.

• The Wiring program is ongoing and making further progress.  The installation of both AC and DC Switchboards is progressing well with adequate circulation of air being adhered to.

• Fairing work on the exterior is ongoing and the flybridge antennae mast area is fully spied in preparation for the next stages of paint preparation.

• Teak area on the flybridge is due to be sanded back and protected in the following days.

• Plumbing pipework is continuous at this stage and is now at around 65 % in the lower deck area.

• Engine room (ER) is progressing well.

• Wheelhouse consul now has Kamewa Electronic boxes installed.

• Garage door Pantograph hinges in place ready for calibration and eventual testing.

• Joinery has progressed nicely in the Master cabin and guest cabins have progressed well. There is now evidence of wardrobe framework and WC furniture in places.

STERN – BELOW WATERLINE

Below: Kamewa “ nozzles” are having high pressure hydraulic lines fitted and calibrated. This is a hugely important procedure to get right as this apparatus is submerged in seawater.

HULL

Below: The initial paintworks for the boot stripe on the water line.

Right: Tempered windows have been installed and protected on both hull sides.

Below: Portholes installed throughout window sections.

Right: Stainless steel anchor pocket  port side. Behind this section is reinforced GRP as this area is a hard-working hull section.

GARAGE DOOR

One can clearly see the advancement in the garage door system. The hinges are now fitted and being aligned.

ENGINE ROOM (“ER”)

Below: Impellor shafts are now aligned.

Right: Approved engine mounting blocks in place with Chockfast.

Pipework and painted bilges and beams in ER.

ER insulation is coming along nicely.

FOREDECK

One can see the necessary protection for paint spraying, as well evidence of teak protection-this is good practice.

Machined angled bolts in position in preparation for final installation of side deck handrails.

Below: The drilled hole next to the machined bolt is the recess that will eventually accommodate the lighting.

Right: Cut-outs for foredeck speakers.

MAIN SALON

Below: Wiring continues apace in this area.
