Arrow Monaco has been engaged to review the status and quality of build of the new build Mangusta 104 hull number 5.
The outfitting is taking place at the Mangusta facilities in Viareggio.
The following report illustrates the status of the build as of the 16th of November 2022 when the vessel was visited.
The finished vessel will have the following arrangement:

EXTERIOR VIEWS
View from aft stbd quarter:
•Safety precautions in place (as per safety document present at the yard),
•Electricity, compressed air and extraction are all present on board for subcontractors to proceed with works
•Access ladders and passerelles are now in place,
•Transom door is not in place (viewed on yard floor),
•External hull/topside areas are being sanded.
•Overboard discharges on topsides are in place and installed,
•Jet drives are not unpacked yet,
•Aft transformer (swimming platform and passerelle functions) is being installed.

•Jet drives are not installed,
•Sea water intake for the jet drive is in place,
•Filler is being applied to the aft transom,
•Overboard main engine discharges have been installed,
•Connection point on transom for drives,
•Keel structure can be viewed.
View from bow areas
•Bow thruster GRP structure and cowling is in place,
•Anchor pockets housing is noticeable on the fwd fibreglass areas,
•Overboard discharge cowlings have been installed.
Material on the yard plateau/warehouse
The following components are located under the vessel and readily available to be installed on board:
•Main Engines,
•Jet drives.
Main deck aft cockpit
•Not much outfitting is yet happening on aft decks as can be seen form these photos,
•Protection for main engine bays are in place
Main deck side corridors
•No teak on floors,
•No windows in place,
•Templates for bridge side doors have been installed,
•Pilot door opening in place.
Forward deck areas and side manoeuvring station
Forward deck areas and side manoeuvring station (pt2) - Anchor chain locker
•Access hatchs fibreglass coaming,
•Anchor locker shell areas,
•Anchor plate recess,
All areas are in progress
Aft swimming platform
-Housing for transformer platform,
-Transom door yet to be installed.
INTERIOR AREAS
Main deck – Aft lounge
•Wooden partitioning in main deck is in place,
•Electrical cable trays and some cables have now been installed/passed,
•Piping connections for scuppers yet to be installed,
•Other piping has not yet “surfaced” to these main deck areas.
Main Deck – Bridge areas
•Wooden partitioning in bridge is in place,
•Electrical cable trays and a few cables have now been installed/passed,
Other piping has not yet “surfaced” to these main deck areas.
Lower Deck Guest Cabins (this is the general condition for all lower decks areas)
•Structural floors have now been installed (with piping having being routed beneath this, (more about this on next page)
•Insulation/lagging on the decks and shell have now been installed,
•Cable trays and some cables have now been installed,
•Earthing strips have been installed,
•Piping for AC units is routed throughout the areas
•Windows frames are in place,
•There are no signs of furniture on board yet.
Lower deck cabins – Bilge areas beneath the cabins
•Tank and tank connections have been completed,
•Sea cocks and discharges are connected,
•Grey water tanks are in place and connected,
•Piping in general has been routed.
Lower deck cabins – Bilge areas beneath the cabins
•Bow thruster mechanical components yet to be installed,
•Basement is in place,
•Piping and electrical connections yet to be completed.
Crew areas
•Generally in the same conditions as the FWD guest areas:
•Structural floors have now been installed (with piping having being routed beneath this, (more about this on next page)
•Insulation/lagging on the decks and shell have now been installed,
•Cable trays and some cables have now been installed,
•Earthing strips have been installed,
•Piping for AC units is routed throughout the areas
•Windows frames are in place,
•There are no signs of furniture on board yet.
TECHNICAL SPACES
Engine Room
•Basements for main engines are in place,
•FWD bulkhead insulation and lagging is in place,
Engine Room
•Deck hatches are in place (still open),
•Sea chest connection flanges piping have been laminated in place,
•Ventilation trunks and plenums have been installed,
•Auxiliary discharge on transom in place,
•Main engines discharge pipe has been laminated in place,
•Jet ducts are in place.
CONCLUSIONS
•Progress of the vessel is being monitored as per the table here attached. The status will be monitored on a fortnight basis,
•As this moment in time we are still waiting for the yard to inform us of the true delivery date, which has been put on standby by the yard, pending the selection of the hull colour. Even though the colour has now been selected as per their email of 11th November. They are now telling us that until the Supplier (AlexSeals) does not indicate the true availability of the materials, they will not be able to confirm a final delivery date.
•We will monitor the current chain supply crisis and its repercussions on delivery of critical items on board.
