CONCLUSIONS
• We are keeping an eye on progress on a fortnight basis,
• Smartsheets is being used to monitor the remarks we discover them. We are insisting on yard to close off items as soon as possible prior to further outfitting taking place,
• Exterior areas outfitting has progressed nicely, with teak decks being placed on sun deck and upper decks as well as most of the forward areas.
• Handrails are being installed throughout the vessel and most stainless-steel accessories (including stairs) are now in place,
• All doors are now installed throughout the vessel,
• Painting of the various areas (as per colour plan) is practically complete having finished both e dark grey and the black details.
• Engine room main apparatus have now been embarked and therefore the deck hatch on both main and upper decks have now been closed off, allowing for outfitting on these two decks to proceed,
• Interior areas particularly on main deck are proceeding well having closed off the engine room hatch. Many areas such as lower decks and master cabin are close to complete in terms of linings, and therefore furniture is now being installed,
• Bridge is moving along well, with the main console now in place and ready to receive all apparatus/instruments,
• Galley is at a good stage of outfitting and some of the household machinery is now in place,
• We see some switchboards throughout the vessel missing, but a good number of them have arrived (engine control room), and hence cabling to these and connections is progressing accordingly.,
• The roll bar and mast have not yet arrived for installation on top of the sun deck,
• As this moment in time, we do not envisage any critical items which could lead to any delays in delivery, and having spoken with the vessel project manager, at the moment the launch is still programmed for the end of July. This however may be delayed slightly because of the logistics of leaving the boat in the water during the August holidays. This is a decision which the yard will take shortly, and we will monitor accordingly.
•We still believe a delivery towards the end of the year is feasible at this stage and will continue monitoring the progress.
