Progress Report #04 | Q2 2023
•The Boat is going to be delayed leaving Turkey, which has left getting a lot more done, such as the insulation and sound plates installed.
•We noticed the boat was a clean environment compared to 596 and you could tell straight away the steelwork was a lot cleaner with less grinding and less amounts of small individual plates.
•Dry wall going up in the crew areas was nearly completed
•We have made it very clear with the amount of insulation being installed, is to make sure the boat is completely sealed so no seawater or rain can damage the insulation during delivery.
•There are some noticeable differences between 596 - 598 one being that the stanchion base pots are installed on 598 but not on 596, during our next PGM we would like to see how the stanchions will be fitted on 596.
•The keel compartments. looking through the keel plugs you could see inside was very dirty with iron filings and other waste. Also, a large brush was noted to be in the aft part of the skeg. These areas should have been inspected before the keel was welded to the hull.
