Stability

Now the additional lead has been embarked, the new intact stability booklet has been approved by RINA.

The final step at this stage for RINA is to complete a sea trial once the Emotion equipment is repaired and ready.

AMICO final items

The final snag list items are now being completed by Amico, the list includes adjustments or small faults on equipment that are connected to this refit. Some examples are below,

•Slowing down the slewing motion on the davits and having them hydraulically locked when the motor is off.

•Final programming on the alarm and monitoring system

•Final auxiliary systems wiring on the bridge connected to Sambroni bridge works and Emotion equipment.

•Items that cannot be fully tested until a successful sea trial can be achieved by Emotion.

All the items are logged on software that is managed by the owner's team, and reviewed by the shipyard and crew.

Electric propulsion motor fault

The port side motors have now been successfully removed from Arionas, they have been transported to the manufacturers warehouse for disassembly and inspection.

The owner's team have visited the manufacturer of the motors on the 30th of August to discuss and better understand the design, manufacturing and testing process of the motors.  Some tests were undertaken with the owner's team and the fault was discussed.

Although the faults is a short circuit, the reason for the fault is now under investigation by third party design team that has been organised by the motor manufacturer.

The owner's team will continue to closely follow the process.

Please note the damage to the motor on the bottom right-hand photo was made in the factory on 30/08 and was not caused by the fire.

The owner's team are currently working closely with Amico reviewing each item on the worklist to ensure completion in preparation for stage 2 of the refit.
