Progress Report #20 | June 2023

REFIT ARIONAS

Now Arionas is settled in her berth, Amico and Emotion commissioning works continue as the crew work hard to get Arionas into a guest ready state.

Although it is not currently possible to undertake a sea trial, all parties are focusing on completing extensive dock trails to ensure she is ready for her sea trials once the stability issues are resolved.

CREW WORKS DECK

The crew areas are now fully functional with crew living onboard. The deck team are re stowing the lockers with the yachts equipment whilst maintaining a high standard of cleanliness on the new paintwork and decks.

CREW WORKS INTERIOR

The new carpets have now been laid apart from in the lower guest cabins as there are some remedial works on the shaft line to be completed as later described. Once these leaks are resolved the rest of the carpet will be laid. The installed carpet has been protected to ensure no damages occur.

Like on deck, the interior is now being cleaned and maintained whilst guest preparations are underway.

STABILITY

Amico shipyard and their appointed Naval architects have been continuing the stability assessments and providing stability proposals to the owner's team.

Arrow Monaco are reviewing the documents and communicating with RINA classification and Malta flag to ensure the proposed solutions will not cause any limitations to the desired use of the yacht whilst also staying within the requirements and regulations.

A third-party Naval Architecture company has been appointed by Arrow. The appointed company are reviewing the Naval architecture planning, testing and proposals that were undertaken at AMICO. The priority is finding a solution, but secondly to investigate the root cause of the stability issue to ensure that  the mistake or issue is understood before remedial works are undertaken.

ROLLS ROYCE ENGINE

One of the original Rolls Royce engines has been removed from the container degreasing and preparation works are now underway to be able to repaint here in pure white.

ENGINE ROOM

As some minor and final works continue. Pinpoint software is being used by Arrow Monaco and Amico shipyard for the “snag list” of small issues or teething problems found by the owner's team on Amico completed works.

Unfortunately, there are some small leaks on the structural chock fast used on the stern tubes. A haul out will be required to repair these leaks. The haul out costs for this issue will be covered by Amico.

Emotion commissioning is underway, and the 3 generators have now been started in Manual mode. They will be run in auto mode using the Emotions control software the first week of July where the main engines will be rotated, and the power management system tested. As mentioned before, Arrow Monaco will ensure that dock trials are extensive as possible to save time at the sea trial stages.

The engine room floor plates are now installed and protected accordingly.
