Paint works progress
Completed paint areas were inspected by our paint surveyor, areas of concern are being contested with Amico. Most of which have been agreed by both parties, but some areas are still under discussion.
Components painting is underway. Including but not limited to deck furniture, windlasses, davit auxiliaries and passerelle. Some additional structures and frameworks in the engine room have been painted but rejected by Arrow, currently awaiting samples of an improved paint process for engine room structures.
The epoxy repair on the main deck headlining/ bridge deck covings has been completed and painted, to be inspected on the next paint survey.
Crew have prepared and repainted the port and starboard shaft tunnels.
Equipment arrival
The 2 thrust bearings and couplings have arrived on site ready for installation.
The 4 cooling pumps for the E-Motion equipment have arrived on site, ready for the yard to start fabrication on the cooling pipework.
The Bow thruster frequency drive and control box have arrived, to be installed by the crew and the shipyard.
The new air compressor for the engine room has arrived and ready for installation.
The new quick closing valves for the fuel system are on site and ready for installation.
Woodwork and interior
Crew have been busy sanding and adding layers of varnish to the capping rails.
VIP cabin welding works, the process of removing the bitumen in the keel has begun in preparation for the replacement of corroded framework underneath the bed
The new teak deck has arrived in the shipyard and will be installed during the month of September.
Bridge electronics work is well underway, the radars have been installed on the mast.
Crew bathrooms finishing will be improved, works to recommence in September.
Hot works
The 6 new through hull generator exhaust outlets including their structural supports are complete. Awaiting RINA class surveyor for testing of the welds.
The old main engine exhaust outlets have been welded shut and will also require surveying by RINA
The new section of fire main in the crew areas has been fabricated and installed, the next step is flushing and pressure testing and servicing of the entire fire fighting system.
New flanges being welded onto the tank tops to house the new level senders.
Engine room
Foundations for the transformer have been installed, as well as the mounting of the hybrid control panel structure.
Cables have been run in preparation to embarkation of E motion equipment.
Insulation works have begun on the ships hull.
Crew works
The process has begun of high pressure washing the lead ballast. Ready to be re-installed after the associated areas have had their bilges repainted.
Fire hydrants, port holes and other bright work have been polished to a high standard and painted with a transparent protective coating.

Now paintworks areas are starting to be completed, the crew are starting to refit exterior fittings such as lighting and speakers
Deck lockers are being cleaned and repainted.
SD handrails
The SD handrails have been extended and have been test fitted. Measurements are being taken before removal and completion of the works
