Progress Report #03 | Q2 2023

Introduction

• Project 606 is currently in the hull and superstructure construction phase in AES Shipyard, Istanbul area, Turkey.

• This report shows the current status of 606 for Q2 2023.

• 606 will have the finished profile shown below on completion.

• Overall the steelwork is very good; plating is not getting ground too roughly. steel has been rolled by outside contractors, overall smooth rolls. There is one area where the steel has a large bubble which has been noted by the shipyard and OT - See # 05 below 

• The steel material is bought within Turkey, and the quality is very good.

• Construction of the decks are properly constructed with the interior deck plates flat and exterior decks cambered 

• There are a few areas in the bilges that need limber holes such as around the stabilizers and some stringers that will hold water. 

• AES also keep their project clean and tidy

• There are many blocks under construction, you can see in the green box the blocks that are in place and the sections are welded together
